The Hardest Hit – Demonstration

The Hardest Hit
Saturday 22 October
Rally 12.30 – 13.30
Old Market Square

Update (27/10/11): pictures from the demo (thanks to Notts TUC).

Disabled people in the East Midlands, along with their families and friends, are taking to the streets in Nottingham to protest against Government cuts to disability benefits and services.  Join us and help to make sure all our voices are heard.

The rally is taking place in Old Market Square, just outside Nottingham Council House, from 12.30pm to 13.30pm.  There will be music and poetry from inspirational local group Moveable Feast and speakers who will join us to share their views on the proposed changes: more details to follow shortly.  We will also be joined by a number of local people who can speak from their own experiences about what the proposed cuts to benefits and services will mean to them as disabled people trying to live independent and fulfilling lives.

Check The Hardest Hit website  for more information.
